Caring with Confidence: A Roadmap for the Years Ahead

As a public official and a New Yorker, I know so many of my constituents and neighbors are living in multigenerational households—or simply living near older family and friends. Caring for seniors can be challenging and confusing even under the best circumstances.

My staff and I organized a two-part webinar series to make sure you have the key information and practical steps you need.

Part 1: Legal, Financial and Healthcare Tools

In this first session, Judith Grimaldi, Esq discussed "the five documents everyone needs," Zoe Freireich, Esq explained Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance, and Cathy Gormley, LSMW gave an overview of benefit applications and community services.

Part 2: Understanding Aging, Dementia, and Caring for an Individual with a Long-Term or Chronic Illness

In this second session, Pamela Edgar spoke about caring for someone struggling with Alzheimer's, and Dr. Rebecca Lalchan spoke about Parkinson's and movement disorders.
